Malta Nationalist Party – The hidden part of the electoral manifest

The Malta Nationalist Party have been clever in manipulating the media, and the Maltese electorate, which actually borders on deceiving or lying to both. Actually the divide to conquer   strategy worked so well for the the PN in the past, that they became the winners of issues that now on hind sight, both the media and the electorate became conscious of how naive they were in their trust.

Each party taking part for re-election have their electoral manifest to present to the electoral public as to how, what and where they will be working, if the electorate decides to give them the authority to govern. I have found that reading between the lines in their electoral manifest makes more sense than actually believing their promise of a heaven island on earth before elections then the real hell they manage to create when in power.

The Nationalist party hidden manifest that they acted upon straight away after being elected contrary to their electoral manifest before election, might be inscribed as follows:

1.       Signing immediately the PFP, or Partnership for Peace without any consultation

2.       Mistra environmental blunder

3.       Addition of Taxes under the pre-text of environmental CO2 taxes

4.       Exorbitant Electrical and Water Tariff

5.       Additional of Car tax and registration also under the environmental guise

6.       Selling off of a profitable Gas distribution and storage

7.       Reducing freedom of speech to Maltese Nationals and those residing in Malta, under the pre-text of racism and xenophobia

8.       Ghadira road built on natural reserve and funded by EU

9.   Nationals Sectertary General requets data on citizens complains from Ministries

11.   Mitts security blunder,20,000 stolen government passwords

12.   Compensating the un-elected PN members of parliament

PFP, or Partnership for Peace

The PFP issue was debated before, with Malta having opting out of the PFP before. The Nationalist acted on its own initiative right after the election. Now Nationalist Government keeps bring arguments that the MLP should offer alternative solution, reasons and all kinds of excuses to drag the MLP in accepting changes they have already made their mind up . So why in God’s name would anyone want somebody else’s opinion if they are already decided? Who where the real beneficiaries of such a decision? What was the hidden agenda when such an issue was so hastily concluded just a few days after the election? Why hasn’t the electorate been informed a few days before the election?

I truly can’t understand why, the PN Government keep asking the LP for alternative solutions on issues, firstly because they are in Government and they should know how to Govern, and secondly they bulldoze and ridicule anybody that offer alternative solutions, So damn them and let them keep on ruining and destroying families, history will condemn them for what they really are. They are the ones that said ‘Money, No Problem, Future generations will pay’, Well welcome to the future Mr. PN and the ever increasing National debt needs to be paid now, obviously not by your past Ministers of finance but by our middle class that is fast falling into poverty line earners.

Mistra environmental blunder

How low a political party can go, can be proved by the pre-election stunt, when a Nationalist candidate kept denying his involvement  on an application for a  disco on a site an environmentally  sensitive Mistra bay, which land belonged to this same candidate. This same candidate was shown on TV shedding tears saying that he was being persecuted to destroy his political career by the MLP. Well surprise, surprise, after the election it was proved to be true but he managed to sway the election in favor of the PN. Even after the election, the then PN general secretary of the PN admitted that this was the only strategy he had left to win the PN the election. How is that for blatantly deceiving the public. Can the PN be trusted, only to those stupid enough to live a lie or those benefitting in expanding their  richies.

Environmental Taxes

What better way to get their hands on people’s money, than to connect any tax increase or introduction of new taxes, by giving them an environmental dressing. Everybody in his right mind is in favor of a better environment. The issue here is not taxes in favor of the environment, but the problem is that the environment  has not improved. One still sees our countryside littered with all sorts dumping, public area inaccessible because they have been taken over by  hunters or bird trappers, limited sandy beaches have been built upon by private businesses or taken as their own concessions, MEPA issues of giving permits outside development zones to contractors to build from supermarkets to villas and hotel extensions. The problem is that the media is not strong enough to highlight our taxes being used good enough to pressure change from the Government into really manage public land. One basic issue would be for the Government to take stock of public land and create a database of what is his and what is not. Another method would be that privately owned land should also be on a database and what it’s use is, but no, not in Malta, confusion and corruption is the order of the day. One day your land is an outside development area and then one finds the right connection and hey presto, the next thing there is a building going up, NGO’s they are mostly a smoke screen for the Government anyway, and to prove this is the monstrosity being created at one of the most impressive temples at hagar Qim. NGO’s now a days are created indiscriminately, most often overlapping each other’s responsibility only to get NGO’s status then they have access to grants and their members suddenly become beneficiaries to countless sums of money and they become highly paid employees to that NGO group, oh yes they have to get audited, but you know accounting and statistics, they are only a necessity to be manipulated , they are never the true picture only a distraction.

Exorbitant Electrical and Water Tariff

We have become so environmental sensitive , that the Government decided that we must now count our electrical unit consumption, tighten up on water use, and rumor has it that we will be paying up for treating and disposing of waste water. That is not so bad if it benefitted the environment but is it? No, the only beneficiaries are, Enemalta inefficiencies in controlling their waste, losses and surplus employees, Electrical  and water theft, Companies, Government departments, and hotels that don’t even plan, invest  or take initiative in controlling waste. And the public is made to pay for it all. Polluter pays the Government says, oh yes sure, you still see Government, factories, hotels buildings with lights on over the weekend and after working hours, street lighting remaining on late into day light. For God’s sake we are even made to pay higher prices just because the price of oil reached briefly close to USD 150 but now that the price of oil is close to a third of that price and the Government is still artificially inflating the prices of energy, the reason is non-transparency of our oil costs and Government cover up on waste, so the public must pay for inefficiencies. Malta is not like any other EU country where you can switch your energy supply from competing Energy Companies, it is only Enemalta that has this privilege and monopoly, so you either take it or lump it. Investing in alternative energy supplies is also not an option for Maltese citizens because of Government bureaucracy, red tape and high tax cost on alternative energy equipment. So again, environmentally conscious my ar*e.

Car tax and registration

Another environmental gimmick by our Maltese Government is the new car emissions and circulation tax. First of all and most sinful is that commercial vehicles, busses, cranes, taxis, coaches and the likes are excluded from this new tax and they are the most  polluting on the island of Malta, with no incentive for them to modernize. Instead who is the ultimate payer to high polluters? Yes, it will be the private motorist, who’s seen subsidizing polluters, fuel wasters while contending to drive on the worst substandard roads in Europe if not the world. Even hybrid cars have not escaped the taxman’s eyes as it is not cost efficient to own one, while our Ministers and Department heads drive high CO2 emitting vehicles, but that’s OK, the public pays the expenses on them so they are affordable. Just give it an environmental top coat and the gullable press and public is sure to buy into it, just keep the right propaganda going. Now if it was truly an environmental tax it would obviously be put directly on the fuel at the pump, the more you use fuel, the more CO2 tax one has to pay, an inefficient car wastes more than it will be at the pump more often hence having to pay more in emissions tax, but that is too complicated for our finance Minister to comprehend, he must have quit school at kindergarten and new the right people to enter politics. So again, environmentally conscious my ar*e.

Selling off the Gas Distribution Plant

Another way for the Government to make money is by selling public Companies. Now this is not selling to create competition as the buyer will be the sole monopoly gas supplier, but instead of the Government being bugged to control prices now it will be a private Company that can raise prices as will, even the Minister of Finance said that it will be obvious that the new company will be expected to raise prices to recuperate the investment of their new enterprise. Who will pay the price, of course the public at large will have to pay for corrupt practices.

Reducing freedom of speech to Maltese Nationals

Now our elected Government has given up, on ever getting the EU to support the Maltese majorities plight in resolving the illegal immigration problem on the smallest, land limited country in the EU. So the Maltese Government only option to appease Brussels is to hinder and gag public opinion. It is now law punishable by imprisonment expressing your opinion regarding illegal immigration as one can easily be branded a racist or xenophobic . Problem solved, Brussels happy, public subdued , NGO’s access to more EU and Government free money and employment opportunities. The chances of both PN and LP candidates for MEP’s increased as I guess even the arrivals of illegal immigrants to our islands reporting by the media will be assumed as creating panic and increasing xenophobic tendencies in the public by actually reporting how much illegal immigrants arrived or how many of them are on the island. So much for free press, and guess what. Did the media lift one iota in exempting themselves from this new law, no way, they have too much to lose from Government favors and free overseas trips, breakfast meetings , adverts and the likes. Even the EU countries does not want to support each other , as instead of sharing the illegal migration problem by taking any surplus from a burdened Country for their lack of labour they will be importing more immigrants from Iraq now living in camps in Syria. There you have it, EU solidarity. EU is working hard to the contribution of islamisation of Europe. The catholic church might as well sell it’s assets as it is not worthy as defender of the Catholic faith in Europe, the only God Governments in Europe know is money and the Euro sign, to hell with religion, that is the sort of backing we as Catholics get for  defending our faith and to honor our forefathers in their quest to defend the church, lots of lives lost in vain to be totally vilified by their sons and daughters of the 21st century. I hope that all Europeans will not expect to change the illegal immigrants culture into a European culture but to expect European culture to change into the illegal immigrants culture, which once a European is in a minority in his own country than both laws and rights of that Country can be expected to change too, that is the future we want our kids to have, we hate our future generations so much that we do not want them to value freedom but we want them to live in submission, the likes of Saudi Arabia and other un governable countries in Africa. All because we are led to believe to work and earn more money for a better standard of living while all we are doing is neglecting our families to work harder and earn more so that Governments can invent more ways on how to take your hard earned money away from you. Shame, instead of Governments incentivizing Europeans to have families and children, instilling in them a sense of national belonging, they made us an accomplice into selling our land to the enemies of our forefathers that fought and lost their lives for their future generations. We betrayed them.

Ghadira road built on natural reserve and funded by EU

Our Government’s need to grasp their hand on any funds from EU, now has become so creative by our Ministry in charge of works, that we will be using EU funds to destroy part of Malta’s natural reserve and forestisation  project, to build a new road. No matter what any other environmental organization says, big brother wants it, one way or the other. And all with the EU’s blessing. One minute we talk about environmental consciousness and the next minute , the Government and the EU are exempt from the responsibility towards the environment. Of course there is money involved, by creating environmental taxes Government is reaping money and by inventing a road project right through an environmental sensitive area will land our Government’s hands on EU free euros. There is not much money that is left in our country coffers to get their hands on anymore so they have to get more money from somewhere. The confusing thing is what are, for or against the environment, I am getting so confused like so many of my many Maltese citizens

Data Protection

Malta , Data protection? You must be joking. The Nationalist and the Labour parties both have a database of information on Maltese citizens and those able to vote for an election in Malta. All without the written consent of Maltese citizens. It is illegal, both parties know it, but bith sides know they are above the law. The present Nationalist Party Secretary General took it a step further in emailing all Government Ministries and Department heads to forward him details of citizens that lodged a complaint with their department. Now there should be a distinction here, the Nationalist Party is a Political Party that sets out a vision based on their belief how a country should be run at present and future and also in guiding candidates how to conduct themselves and implement their electoral program, while the Maltese Government is there to protect and to serve all Maltese Citizens (Primarily) . On the contrary now we know that the Government is a spy for the PN on citizens which will in turn be used against a citizen on how he will be dealt with, depending on his or his family’s political tendencies. I would assume it to be, medical treatment, favors, promotions, social housing and all the other host of services given by a National Government. Now Malta is a European Democracy, or is it. If it really were a European based Democracy, one would expect an immediate resignation of anybody divulging such information. Malta, no way, he has the blessing of our Prime Minister, as he did not even express or communicate such a move from a so high PN official for even thinking about spying on citizens. The Prime Minister didn’t even hint at installing a Data Protection Commissioner since the death of the last Commissioner. That is how seriously European Malta takes data protection of Maltese Citizens. This also applies to the MITTS blunder, to have somebody hack into the Government servers taken care of by MITTS and steal 20000 Government password and nobody is accountable, one can only use his imagination as to how our data is protected. To make matters worse and to show the competency of our Ministers, the Minister in charge denied that the system was hacked into and declared them as a bunch of lies, he also did not accept the resignation ( or better still a courtesy resignation) of those responsible. How patetic can that be, thank God we are not an armed nation as those that hacked could have started a world war and would have knew nothing about it. A real Disney World Country with Mickey Mouse at the helm, I’d say.

Compensation

There seems to be no better job than a Politician. First make a fortune from the power given by the people, then when you fail at an election the party gives you either a high profile position within the Government, act as a consultant to the Government, or being given a golden handshake compensation for past services. So much for our taxes, and if private companies CEO’s can do it so can our Government. There is never a losing streak in being a Politician in Malta. Even one’s families and friends have a spell of good fortune in being given advantageous jobs or tenders and the likes. No wonder one finds so many fanatics on each side of the political spectrum, it’s a scratch my back and I will scratch yours attitude. I sometimes wonder if this happens only in Malta. One thing I know is that I have never heard of a resignation or asked to resign and the offenders complying of any high profile official or Minister in Malta, only excuses and cover ups, so very obvious. It truly must be a heaven living in Malta with Angels running the Country. If heaven is anything like Malta, I really wonder what hell will be like.

Yours truly, and will be back. By the way I don’t publish my name, because I don’t want to fall victim of our political system, it is that democratic, our little heaven on earth. All the above is the hidden from public eye PN electoral manifest, and I am sure there will be a lot more to write about in the near future.
